Balanced chakras are important because they help harmonize the connection between your mind, body, spirit and emotions. Keeping the energy vibrations high and aligned supports your general health and well-being.
Very strong positive or negative emotions (as well as stress) can push your chakras off-balance, leaving you feeling somewhat out of whack. Depending on the situation, your chakra may expand or deplete its energy. But not to worry, you can use aromatherapy at home to realign your chakras.
Simply blend a drop of essential oil with a base oil (like coconut, sweet almond or sesame oil) and gently massage it on to your chakra area in a clockwise direction and think of your intention for that chakra. This practice of anointing has been used in many ancient and spiritual traditions. Note: Please make sure you study possible contraindications first and test the diluted oil on your arm for possible sensitivity.
