Style Guide: Fall Events

[images][image][image][image][image][endimages]Events are fun because they usually mean you are celebrating someone or something wonderful. Whether it be a wedding, baby shower, birthday party or formal soirée, events are also an excellent excuse to dress up!

When choosing an outfit for different celebrations this fall, the first step is to find out what type of event it is. Is it casual, semi-formal, formal or white tie? Is there a specific dress code? Is it outdoors or at a restaurant, hall or church? By finding out these specific details, it will make dressing for the event easier – and you won’t end up sticking out like a sore thumb.

You don’t want to show up to an outdoor party wearing stilettos – the grass and this type of footwear just don’t get along. You also don’t want to attend a formal event in a bright red dress only to find out that there is a specific dress code of black only. Sometimes the invites will specify these details and other times not so much; don’t be shy to ask the host or others involved.

I often find dressing for summer events a tad easier. Come fall and winter, it gets cooler out and that means tights and jackets may need to play a part in your look. Also, don’t forget great accessories like scarves, oversized clutches, leather gloves or even a fur jacket!

Here are four great fall floral looks that can be worn in different settings: casual, semi-formal, formal and white tie. Added bonus: each dress is under $100!
