The Bon Voyage Beauty Essentials

Traveling is exciting, but it can also bring on stress for a lot of people. I’ve found, whether I’m traveling for a week or a weekend, by plane or by car, it’s important to plan accordingly and be smart about packing. The trick? Really consider the essentials and what can be left behind.

A must have for me, especially on a flight, are the right beauty products. You know that feeling at the end of a flight when your face feels so dirty or oily? The right beauty products in your carry-on can combat this feeling! I’ve mastered my essentials list and it makes a big difference when traveling.

Pack these 7 beauty products (in travel size portions for your carry-on!) for a more refreshing trip:

1. Klorane dry shampoo

If you’re traveling without a hair wash, touch up your roots with this dry shampoo at the end of a flight. Also, use it throughout your trip to make your blowout last longer. Perk: it also comes in a darker shade for brunettes.

2. Caudalie grape water

I love using this facial mist before and after makeup. It instantly freshens up the skin and makes you look more awake! Perfect for post-flight.

3. Clinique moisture surge

I love this stuff! I use this during the day, alone or before makeup and under my eyes. It totally hydrates my skin and leaves it feeling smooth.

4. Shiseido BB cream with SPF

This cream is great because it gives you just enough coverage without looking like you have a face full of foundation, plus has a high amount of SPF in it. Just rub this in with your hands and voila! Bonus, it’s completely waterproof.

5. La Roche Posay micellaire water

I just started using this cleansing water and love it. It completely removes makeup and is sensitive around the eye area — and it doesn’t dry out your skin. As a mom, it’s nice to have this around with my toddler as an alternative to using wipes.

6. Keihl’s lip balm

My sister just gave me this stuff and I’m officially obsessed! It moisturizes the lips without a strong smell and it’s not sticky. I also use this on my toddler!

7. YSL touche eclat

Since I no longer use concealer, I sometimes need a little extra help around the eye area (or anywhere on my face for that matter) and this is the product I use. It instantly brightens your skin and is extremely light weight. It’s a bit pricier but definitely worth it.
