What level of uv protection do these pants provide?

Hi, I measure 34in waist and 42in hips so that falls between a medium and large on your size chart. I'm typically a size 10 or 12 in pants, I'm about 5'3 165lbs, and I like my leggings with compression but not so tight I'm uncomfortable. Would you recommend a size medium or large?
Hi Caite, thank you for reaching out! In this material we recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes. But if you usually wear a size 10-12, you should be good wearing a Large. If you still aren't sure, I always recommend ordering a couple different sizes since we always offer free shipping and returns within the US:)
Is darkest night black?
