Why did you start The Sculpt Society?
The Sculpt Society for me is really the community and the workout that I always wanted for myself. I really wanted to find a way of moving that felt joyful, and that was fun, and wasn't intimidating.
Movement has impacted my life in such a big way, and so if I can connect with other women and make an impact on their lives... I really want women to feel their most confident selves. I feel like it's like my mission.
How has being a mom shaped your relationship to your body, and to movement?
I feel like motherhood has just given me such a deep appreciation for my body. It's really comes down to feeling strong and resilient and feeling the incredible things that our bodies can do.
Are there specific ways that you do that?
I think it's showing them how I'm committed to showing up every day to move my body with joy, and not to restrict or to become smaller, but actually to expand and to become as big as I can be.
How does movement empower you to seek beyond?
Movement is a gateway to confidence for me, when I move, I connect to my strength and my creativity and even my intuition. It's not about what happens on the mat, it's about who I become when I show up for myself.
What are some of the ways you welcome joy into your journey, big or small?
Whether it's a high energy dance cardio session, or even just a gentle sculpt, there’s joy whenever I can let my body go.
What does the idea of “progress over perfection” mean to you?
I think that's something I'm constantly working on — just being okay in the messy moments. Especially as a mom and an entrepreneur and a human, I'm reminding myself daily that done is better than perfect. Perfection isn't the goal. Consistency and compassion are.
